Join our team at East River Electric Power CooperativeAre you an enthusiastic engineering student looking to gain hands-on experience? Do you want to learn more about the electric power industry? East River Electric Power Cooperative invites you to apply for our Engineering Intern position. In this role you will provide engineering assistance to the engineering and planning services department. You'll be part of a supportive learning environment where you can develop your skills and contribute to exciting projects. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced engineers, work on real-world challenges, and gain insight into the engineering field while applying your theoretical knowledge in practical situations. This is a temporary position available to work full-time hours during the summer of 2025.

What You'll Accomplish

  • Provide technical assistance in the review of the electric system models and facility design information.
  • Assist with database updates and automation of processes used for electric system analysis.
  • Assist in reviewing technical documents, reports and drawings.
  • Document project progress and maintain organized records.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas.
  • Shadow experienced engineers to learn about real-world applications and practices.

Showcase Your Knowledge, Abilities, and Expertise. Do you have?

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a degree in engineering with at least one (1) year of engineering coursework completed
  • Some experience with or exposure to the electric industry is preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks in a team environment
  • A valid driver's license
