The Western Watershed
Virtually all the surface water in Lake County ends up in the Big Sioux River, a 419-mile river starting in northeastern South Dakota and discharging into the Missouri River at Sioux City. A new book is being released this month, entitled: “Heartland River: A Cultural and Environmental History of the Big Sioux River Valley.” For the safety of our community we are requiring face masks at adult library programs. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided.
