Join us as SD Humanities Scholar, Rich Lofthus, a History professor at Mount Marty University in Yankton, puts the World War I era correspondence of the Warns family from South Dakota into the broader context of world and regional events surrounding World War I. The program explores the impact of propaganda, the issue of dissent on the home front, and Private Warns’ reconciliation with his former enemies decades after the war. All attentive ages welcome.
