Salary: NEW STARTING WAGE! Minimum starting wage is $19.35/hr, with an additional $.75 shift differential from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Sign-on Bonus: $2,000 total bonus paid in three installments during the first two years of employment
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age and not have any felony convictions which would prohibit the applicant from obtaining certification as a Correctional Officer.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous corrections experience is desirable, but not required.
Description: Candidates for this position must be able to respond to emergency situations in the jail, provide medical assistance including CPR, dispense medications, complete bookings, fingerprints, and perform additional duties as assigned. Hours to be determined, but may include nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts could be rotating. Successful candidates must submit to a complete background investigation and drug screening prior to conditional offer of employment.
